Panoramic X-ray Diagnosis

The panoramic x-ray is a two dimensional view of both upper and lower jaws. With the help of a panoramic x-ray, a dentists can examine the condition of the maxilla and mandible (upper and lower jaws) including “wisdom teeth”, the frontal and maxillary sinuses, the nasal cavity and the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). The dentist can also examine the condition of the teeth for dental decay under old feelings or crowns, the periodontal status, determine the status of bone tissue.

Based on the panoramic x-ray analysis, the dentist can recommend different treatment plans for each case, discuss with the patient the advantages and disadvantages of each treatment plan and explain about the costs and time needed for each one.
