A dental crown can restore the strength, the shape, the size and the position of a single tooth while dental bridges can restore missing teeth. These kind of restorations are highly esthetic and can last as long as natural teeth. During the first visit the tooth or teeth are prepared (with preparation we mean the removing of a portion of enamel to allow room for the crown or bridge to be placed over the toot or teeth). After that, a special camera scans the tooth or the teeth and the new restoration is designed on the computer. At last a milling machine (3D printer) creates the new restoration.
In our clinic we always fix temporary plastic teeth immediately after preparation, so you don’t have to worry about leaving the clinic “without” teeth. If a dental crown is planned, it will be ready in a couple of hours, if a dental bridge is planned, it will be ready in 2-3 days.
